Lab backs children’s book appeal
Derby City Lab will once again support Derby Book Festival’s Children’s Book Appeal by acting as a drop-off point for donations.
The latest appeal coincides with the festival’s Summer Edition event, which takes place from Friday 22 May to Sunday 31 May.
From Friday 22 May, Derby City Lab will accept donations of pre-loved children’s books at its location inside the revamped Derby Market Hall.

The biannual appeal aims to collect gently used books suitable for primary school children, which will then be distributed to youngsters who do not have access to books.
In the past, Derby City Lab has helped collect thousands of books from its previous locations in St James’ Street and the Derbion shopping centre.
Adam Rodgers, inward investment executive at Marketing Derby and Derby City Lab lead, said: “Derby City Lab is thrilled to once again support Derby Book Festival’s Children’s Book Appeal.
“We hope those who drop off books will take time to stay a while, explore the lab and find out more about Derby’s exciting regeneration story.”
